What are the signs of interest? For the guys pls, but ladies it'd be nice if u can help?
- nice to others (as in friendly) except u?
- joke with others except u?
- looks uncomfy talking to ya?
- stealing glances at u but turn away immediately when u caught him looking?
- nice to the rest but a lil' mean to ya yet smiles and act like nothing of that sort happens, it's ok to be mean?

Alot of what is stated is true. Other things that have happened to myself included:
-asking questions about how they look (hair and clothes)
-often will sit and talk to you for hours about anything and everything (some may call this good friends listening and talking, but often times, this can lead to something more)
-some little flirting
-one big sign I have seen, when the idividual wouldn't give you the time of day and then suddenly is all nice and starts asking your opinion about things and actually knows who you are and your name!
-when that idividual is willing to put what others may have said about you aside and takes the time to come talk to you and actually get to know you!
-when they start acting differently around you than they normally do
-when you are given a hug or kiss for no apparent reason!
-times when they are mean to you around others but not when you are by yourselves is a small sign yes!
-looking and acting uncomfortable around you is not always a sign
-stealing glances is another small sign
-another one I have encountered, is that person is with someone else and suddenly, they start taking interest in you and possibly the individual you may be with and strongly trying to get you out that relationship (could be for your own good or they know something you don't)
-asks you and only you to do certain things with them (go get something to eat, move them to a new place, helps you every single time).
-geting secret letters from someone that doesn't leave a signature on the letters but you know the handwriting.
These are all good signs for a great friend too! Most of the time, you need to use your best judgement to make that determination. If you are not sure, and are not afraid to, just pull that individual aside and talk to them to make sure you are not getting mixed messages. They may tell you the truth or just tell you that it's all in you head. Better to ask and get shut down than to keep "playing along" and get hurt.

It really depends on the person but here are some things I do sometimes or I've seen other people do these:
Acting strange and/or quiet around you
Looking at you every 5 minutes and/or staring at you
Tries to talk to you but in the end it's all awkward for him
Tries to impress you and/or make you laugh
Lastly he might try to avoid you or he might try to be around you all the time

Ok as a female I can tell you, your mates mind is NOT on you, it is elsewhere. If he/she's feelings were equally shared, they would enjoy talking to you and sharing things. If he/she is not able to joke with you and is often mean to you, you need to accept the fact that somethings going on with them and you are not included as in a good way. It is never right to treat your mate mean and if you really Love them, why would you want to?? Good Luck

i dont think any of those show that hes interested in you. in fact id say he hates you. does he do that in private too? if hes unwilling to make you comfortable and feel welcome, then hes a prick and needs to be dropped.
