If you visit the local history unit in Maidenhead (or phone the library there) check the electoral register for the address you have, you will find out approximately what year she moved, maybe even if she married while living there. You sound like you're doing really well so far. Maybe you could also set up a web page or some such with your name as Adam Brown and an e-mail address, in case she tries find you at some point. Good luck

Was your adoption private or closed? Do your adoptive parents have any information they can give you? Have you also searched your bm's last name for siblings? Called them and asked if they know her? If you were adopted through an agency, will they accept a request to meet letter from you to forward to the bm? I wish you good luck. I am a waiting parent now, I am hoping our child comes to us soon. I understand from my research and speaking with other adoptees that what you are feeling and your need is normal. I wish you all the best. One thing I would suggest, is to try keep an open mind, try not to have misconsceptions of the meeting, although I know you have daydreamed many times about it I am sure! Know one thing, your adoptive parents love you very much I am sure. Good luck with your journey.

Adoption records are now open in Canada. Contact your local government for a copy of your "Birth certificate", your real one. It should list your parents names.
What agency were you adopted with? Most have some kind of program that will unite families together. They have a list of who is looking and they bring them together.
What power tool company did she work with? Maybe they have her employment records.
Have you checked her last know address, maybe the people who live there know where she moved too?
You could put an ad in the paper.

I would start by going into the company and ask somebody in there, if they know your mother, if they say why you asking for her, say to them the truth, they will help you as much as they can, i think. Good luck and i hope you found her.

You could try Salvation Army, but they can't always help. I know of someone who went to them but was told they couldn't help coz the baby was born out of wedlock. Dunno if that is still the case.
You could also look on Genes reunited. Also if her name is still Brown, I did a search for you on bt.com in the Maidenhead area, not sure if this helps. Good luck though! http://www.thephonebook.bt.com/publisha.content/en/find/residential/residential_numbers.publisha?SearchType=res&PCD=&REQ=20&RNG=&PageBeginCount=1&Paging=N&PageResultType=subscribe&Searched=Y&NAM=Brown&GIV=S&LOC=Berkshire&STR=&x=0&y=0&PreviousLocation=berkshire

I don't have any info for you, but it sounds like you have a lot of crucial information with which you can find her. Have you considered hiring a private investigator? With the info you have already I bet you'd have very quick success.

I wish you lots of luck!
