I would recommend a credit card from your bank. You can get one with a deposit. The limit of the card is the balance on your deposit and after about a year using it and paying you could get a credit card without deposit.

Since youspecify prepaid, why not get a debit card from your bank?

Here's the link for Visa's gift card locator. Just plug in your area and it will show you everyone nearby that sells them.
Fees might vary based on who you get them from, but most banks will sell them at no charge to their own customers. Otherwise, they're $2-5.00. Not too bad, depending on how much you put on them.
