Here's the thing and i'm not trying to be a smart***, but it feels like exactly what it is, a needle or group of needles going in and out of you up to 50 times a second, the pain is sharp for the first few minutes, but as your body starts releasing it's natural pain killer the pain shifts from being painful to just annoying, anyway I hope you have fun with it, I'm sure you'll love the experince.

Yes tattoos hurt and it is a different type of pain. It is an on going pain that is felt during the procedure then a soreness that is felt after the procedure. I have two tattoos. One of them is small and on the back of my neck and the other is larger and in the center lower portion of my back. It was helpful for me to take a cd player with me (there were no mp3 players then LOL) to distract me while I was getting the tattoo. You'll do fine. Take something to read or listen to and I am certain you will do fine.
Best wishes.

It all really depends on you pain tolerance. The back side of the wrist doesn't really hurt. I didn't even feel mine getting done and I watched him do it. Normally you'd feel like a pin prick at first then just some road rash. But honestly mine didn't hurt at all. But every one is different and their pain tolerance is different. Tongue hurts ALOT worse then back side of your wrist. Just remember to ask for Tattoo Goo. It's a little tin or tube. Works great and cuts healing time in half!
Hope this helps and good luck!

tattoos hurt period, some people try to be all matcho and say it dosent hurt but it does, the meetier the body part the better a place like your wrist has thin skin with many bones this is going to hurt! but it's not unbarable. It feels like a needle being scraped on your skin, it's like a tickleish scraping. in my opion the outline hurts worse then the coloring. but once it's done the pain is gone and you have a new tattoo that you wont be able to stop looking at! but you seem a little to young, it's a big commitment. but im not here to be a parent, hope i helped

I have a "sleeve" on my lower right arm completely down to the back of my right hand. The wrist didnt hurt that bad at all. Now the ears are a different story! I would advise you to wait till you are a little older, 16 is pretty young to be making that kind of permanent mark on your body, even with parental consent.

It's a cool pain I always tell everyone it's like a "funny bone" pain where it hurts but kinda tickles at the same time where you want to laugh and cry at the same time. My last tattoo didn't hurt me at all. Different people have different pain tollerances though so it's hard to say how you will take it. Also different areas on the body the skin is more or less sensitive softer skin is generally more painful where harder skin usually doesn't hurt so bad. Good luck.

I have a tattoo on the back of my shoulder. I got it when i was 16 and I didn't think that it hurt very much at all. I guess it depends on where u get it.If it is closer to the bone then it will hurt worse.

Hmm...some areas are more sensitive than others - I have a large one on my back that didn't hurt at all and a much smaller one on my stomach above my hip that hurt way much. I'm going to guess the rest is going to be a bit painful as there is not a lot there for padding.

properly, because of the fact a tattoo sounds like a cat scratch, i think that a tattoo close to that distinctive place down there might harm truly truly undesirable. The pelvic bone is right there, and each and each nerve in the finished physique additionally runs close to there, so i'm a hundred% beneficial it might harm there extra suitable than the different place. in case you like one, decide for it. it may be bragging rights and the discomfort is purely non everlasting while in comparison with the existence of a funky tattoo. terrific of success to ya!

It's kind of like having someone poke you repeatedly with a sharp pencil. It's painful, but mostly sort of annoying. Any area with a lot of bone under it hurts more. But it's really not that bad. Afterward, it just feels like a mild sunburn for a little while.
