Somewhere between 80%-90% of our citizens believe that our borders should be closed off to illegal crossing into the U.S. That means conservative, liberals & others for the most part want this to happen. The other 10%-20% represent conservitve business owners who want cheap labor & far left liberals who think our border should be wide open & buy the way Texas, New Mexico, Airazona & most of California should belong to the Mexicans. Am I hearing this right? If I am why does our politicains give these issues lip services during election time but do nothing afterward?

El thugo. China was able to build a 4000 mile long wall over 4000 years ago. It can be done & in a way that want allow tunnels. t may not stop it but it will certainly slow the illegals down. It worked for China. By the way I'm stongly in favor of legal immigration this country needs it. We sould make it easier to be documented & come to this country legally & do all way can to slow down & discourage illegal entry in to the U.S. It will be better for both sides. People die in the desert trying to get here. That's not right.

I'm not sure of the stats but MOST Americans don't want the illegal alien criminals! The politicians don't give a sh** - they think they know better. I call them criminals because that's what they are. Anyone that breaks the law (e.g., immigration law) is a criminal.

CA sure doesn't want them because they are bankrupting the state when we have to pay for them. Our state government are a bunch of "girlie men" - that includes Arnold.

You do have this right. The politicians and others benefiting from illegal immigrants pretend we are just dealing with laws that cannot be enforced, rather than laws our government refuses to enforce. The federal government passed new immigration laws in 1986 and gave amnesty to illegals at that time. But, the new laws were not enforced. Now, the politicians are claiming we need new laws again, and they won't be enforced either. There is nothing unenforceable about our laws. Politicians rely on the campaign contributions of large corporations which are cheap labor employers, so they are pretending the problem is bad laws, when the real problem is lack of enforcement of the laws. They can change the laws every year, but if they won't enforce them we will always be overrun by illegal aliens. Maybe the laws should change to take enforcement away from the federal government, and the states should be funded to enforce immigration laws, since our federal government just won't do it.

You are correct. I'm not sure if your percentages are correct but the vast MAJORITY of Americans want, at a minimum, enforcement of our laws. They are absolutely incensed with illegal aliens that march in OUR streets, Desecrate our flag, and demand rights that are NOT theirs. The majority feels that it is not FAIR to grant amnesty to illegals while other immigrants wait outside for admittance.

The illegals are taught that this is THEIR land and it is OK to take it back. "Reconquista" they call it. Bush even FUNDS the schools that teach this crap with your tax dollars.

Our politicians do nothing because they are gutless. They don't want to lose the election. They want to get elected and then do what feels right to them and not what is right for those that elected them. They are afraid that if they take a stand that they will lose the Latino vote. They are not sure how many illegals are actually registered, and yes they can register because it is illegal to ask for proof of citizenship.

criminal immigration is the approach the position human beings attempting to enter the U. S. save on with immigration regulations and note for visas, and so on. to enter the country. unlawful immigration takes position even as human beings sneak in like thieves interior the evening, as in chinese welded into the metallic holds of field ships that run aground on lengthy island and Mexicans sneaking for the time of the southern border without regard to the regulation. And good grief, birds do no longer immigrate, they migrate, it truly is travelling with the seasons. Mexicans might want to to that end be more effective precise called unlawful migrants.

Forget it with Nacy Pelosi on her high horse as 'most important woman in the US'(her official opinion) the US won't get anywhere with securing our borders. Is this some of the corrective legislature she promised? What a joke.

they BELIEVE it should be closed, but i don't see them going to the border to build it. forget it man, it will never work. building a fence would be a huge waste of money. theres a little something called tunnels. and a little something called the ocean. we'll keep coming no matter WHAT you do. and about killing illegals that try to cross over, the illegals and legal immigrants of this country wouldn't just sit back while that is happening.
