You will have to dye it every 3-4 mo. but you also have to use a color stay shampoo. If not it will strip the tone of the color out of your hair!

Go to a beauty supply store and you can get a 2 liter size Shampoo or Cond for 10.99.

Also know the more you blow dry, curl, flay iron...damage it you will have to color it.

I had a similar problem when I dyed my hair ash blonde, I have alot of warm tones in my hair and they kept trying to take over.
There is something you can use between coloring called a toner.
Next time you go to a beauty supply store check them out. They have ash in them to help deminish golden tones and they come in darker tones so they can be used on ash brown hair without lightening it.
I hope this helps : )

First off....Why ash? Ash is green......most hair stylist use ash, when there is too much red in someones hair to even it out to a natural level brown........If there is too much gold in your hair....just try a natural darker brown......Ash is not a great color for brown.....there are reasons for ash....but it is not for the appearance of Ash. My suggestion is to go and speak to a colorist.....If you put another ash tone on your hair, you run the risk of see "too much" of a green hue
