A mechanic friend of mine looked at my Nissan Altima GXE 97' and noticed my driver's front spring is broken and other side is rusted. How much does a repair job like this cost?

It's a lot cheaper than the accident not repairing it could cause. Get them fixed ASAP.

Springs, struts, and an alignment should be $400-600. Call two or three different shops and get estimates. Replace both sides; don't try to do just one.

Rust does not make a spring bad. The broken one will probably cost $2-300 dollars parts and labor.
