I recommend using ice cube trays. That is how I do it. I freeze them in the trays and then pop them out once they are frozen and seal them up in freezer bags. Easy to store, easy to label. Good for you for making your own baby food!

The ice cube tray is an excellent suggestion. Glass jars have the advantage that they are microwave safe, but the disadvantage that they may break if overfilled and then frozen. Plastic containers won't break, but cannot be used in a microwave: local heating of the food will damage the plastic. (This is not a safety issue, however.)

You can use the jars. I have done that with my son's food or you can use an ice tray. Plastic is not going to hurt them. People have been using plastic for years with no problems.
