I have created an excel spreadsheet. I created hyper links to document and PDF files within the same file server-just a different folder. I have emailed this to others and have saved it in another folder. No one can use the hyperlinks. Help please?
Does the document need to be anchored somehow?

Check to be sure that the hyperlink points to the SERVER as well as the folder on which the documents are stored. If it just points to the folder, it will not find them.

In addition make sure that the users who receive the excel file have access to the server where the documents are stored as well as having the server mapped in the same fashion.

Example: If you have the Hyperlink pointing to a G: drive and the receiver has the drive mapped to F: the hyperlink won't work.

Try the Help feature in Excel. It will show you the types of Hyperlinks you can create.

Also, the person may have to hold CTRL while clicking on the hyperlink.

Also make sure you are using a UNC path and not a driveletter. For example:

\\server\share\doc.pdf instead of U:\doc.pdf
