I agree with Shelly, blow drying your hair upside down is a great way to create volume. Also, layers are good too. But hairspray (any kind) and mousse can become your best friends. My hair is thin/fine too, so I'll tell you what I do:
After you get out of the shower, put a quarter size amount of mousse in your hands and rub it into the hair, concentrating on the scalp and working to the ends( if you worked from the ends up, you'd give your hair weight, not volume). Next, keeping your head upside down blow dry it. Once it's completely dry, spritz the roots with hairspray and (if you have layers) seperate the layers and spray a touch of hairspray into each section. Flip your hair up, scrunch with fingers and you're done.

I have thin hair too. I use Nioxin. They have different products. I also use Redken Hair Thickening Lotion. I use this before I dry my hair. Just a pea size. After I dry my hair, I use Kenra Thermal Spray on the roots of my hair. WOW volume. And then a little hair spray. I use Vavoom hair sparay. I hope this helps. also blow dry hair upside down. Good Luck

I layer my hair cause it looks a lot fuller. I like short layers on the crown.

I use a volumizing mouse and I flip my hair over and blowdry my hair. Also if you plan on straightening your hair don't start at the roots...it makes it all flat all over again. start around the middle of your hair of the end.
