i recovered by lots and lots of Ben And Jerry's Ice cream. that didnt work so I eventually went out with friends and realized it wasnt the end of the world for me. I found a wonderful man and we have been together for about three years. Basically dont sit inside the house and mope get out there and eventually youll find someone who lights the fire inside of you again.
lots of luck.

It always takes time after a relationship ends for the people involved to get over it. There are any number of things that you can try. But first you must come to terms with why the relationship didn't work out. I say this so that if you do get into another relationship later on you don't repeat the same behavior. Whether it is getting involved with the same type of guy or something else.
Only time will begin to heal a wound like this. Just keep doing things that you enjoy. Do things that make you happy.

Time is the greatest healer of all. The heart is a pretty tough little instrument and will heal itself. But emotionally you have to get yourself back on track and this too will occur if you allow it to take place naturally and not try and rush it and/or pretend to be experiencing emotions real or imagined. Call a friend and try and get out to socialize a bit and get your mind of this past relationship.

the best remedies i have found to actually work are
to throw yourself into your friendships...have friends, go out with your friends, talk to your friends etc. get involved in things...sports, activities, hobbies, anything that will take up some of your time and will help you to become active and social again.
give yourself time to heal, don't rush into any new relationships, put yourself into any weird predicaments or put unhealthy expectations on youself....be real about what is good for you.

The old saying goes "The best way to get over a girl, is to get under another one."
The bottom line is that you need to let go of the bitterness and hurt that you're carrying over. The best of us get stuck in bad relationships, but life does go on if you let it.
