If you want to go Violet, it takes a lot of work to keep it in shape. However, it looks wonderful with dark skin tones (look at Anthy from RGU). Since your hair is naturally pretty dark, you'd have to go through a rigorous bleaching process before you put the hairdye in, which would really hurt the hair itself. If you want to do it, props to you! ^_^ SFX hairdye works best if you want that unnatural purple/violet look, but Clairol carries this...burgandy color as well thats a violet shade underneath, very pretty.

Violet might look a little harsh. Maybe do a red wash so that when you are in the sun it will be glowing red.

No, I don't think so, maybe you should a hair color that works well with your skin, especially your skin color. Try honey blond or something, a color that suites you well.

dye it blue black or darkest black. its a great back drop against clothes. and usually dark people with red or blonde hair looks bad.
