Depends on the line that you are using as well as the developer! Usually if you are just depositing color with no lift you use 10 volume... This usually requires 30 min... 20 volume (lifts up to one level and covers gray) also takes about 30 min... 30 and 40 volume lift anywhere between 2-4 levels... If not higher mixed with a highlift color or bleach... This usually requires 30-45 minutes! Always take a strand test (Coloring a strand of hair and timing it in incriments of ten to reach desired results)... If your hair is porous it is going to deposit and lift quickly! If you are unsure of what you are doing save yourself the stress and pay a professional! Professional color lines are better for your hair then some on the market color lines! Some on the market color lines are Metallic which is not only damaging but will chemically react with any highlift color (high developer) used by a professional!

35 minutes- AT THE MOST. I only leave mine in for about 20 minutes and I get the results I want. You dont want your scalp to itch or burn, if this starts happening get it out of your hair immediatly. For your best bet id say go to a stylist and have tham do it if you are unsure about what you are doing, its safer that way. Hairdye can seriously damage you hair if you leaveit in too long and it can burn your skin and even make your hair fall out! Call a stylist and get some advice before you do it okay. Good luck and I hope I could be of some help

It should say in the instructions, but most hair dye, you would leave in for 25 - 35 mins.

The easiest answer to this is to simply read the instructions that came in the box with the haircolor. They will tell you how long to leave the color on. The time is typically between 25 and 45 min. for an all-over color. Good luck!

Just follow the instructions. It can be anything from 15 to 25 minutes. The more important thing is that you use a quality hair color, I suppose you don't want to ruin your hair.

No more than 45 minutes, after that it stops working and the longer you leave it you are just damaging your hair

Each product is different, so it's best to follow directions on the label. To keep hair healthy, don't exceed the recommended time.

Depends on the brand, Read the box to be sure. If you leave it in too long, it could be too dark, or even burn your hair chemically!

Between 20 - 40 mins. The best way to tell is to look in the mirror and see if the color looks evenly and darker/lighter the way it should come out.
