Check Vacation Bible School curriculum for great ideas that you can adapt to younger children. Many christian stores have great books and supplies for VBS.

Also- adapt small items that the children can remember - for example the parable of the mustard see- eat pretzels and mustard- make a Craft project with mustard seeds.

Adam & Eve- eat apples and make apple print pictures.

Noah's Ark- Act it out and have each child pair up to be one of the animals as you read a child adapted version of the story -

Make a felt board and tell stories using it.

kids this age can relate to the stories if you bring it down to their level. Pick five or six bible stories- verses that you want to startw ith and brainstorm with the people that help you - I'm sure you can come up with create ideas... just make them hands on and short - have two or three activities that you can transition into quickly... Have FUN!

Does your nursery have toys they can play with? Church nurseries should have a variety of toys for young children to play with. If not, I suggest creating a portable sack of toys that you can bring with you.

It's really hard to teach an infant. As for the 3 and 4 year olds, you might want to look into a curriculum. Curriculums have ideas that go along with the Bible and a theme. You have to purchase those in order to get ideas.

Otherwise you'll have to come up with your own based on the Bible. Have a topic for the day and make a craft or skit that goes with the topic. Be creative. You can do little plays, playdoh sculptures, collages with different mediums... etc. There is a world of possibilities for you to check out. You can even check out teacher stores in your area for pre-school based books that help with craft ideas.

Coloring books, creating mazes and games related to bible stories for the older ones. There are christian stores everywhere it seems, and they'll gladly sell (for profit/prophet!) anything to help recruit an impressionable youth. Also play games like CSI:Israel, Jesus vs. Judas, Jona and the whale, everyone is descended from Noah, etc.

Play pens with crosses for the babies.

SING!!!!

Children love to sing. Include songs that have hand movements to keep them engaged. Singing is a great way to help them memorize Bible verses and stories, too.

Telling Bible stories with felt boards is a great idea, too.

Whatever you do, keep them engaged and interactive. They'll learn more that way. They'll also have a ton of fun.
