The latest version of Media Player only requires that you have a CD or DVD burner, Software is built in.

You should not need any plug-ins to burn music from windows media player as long as you are just burning a regular music cd.

With version 10 of WMP you can burn any music. I think version 9 add that possibility also. You can download the latest version from the micosoft site.

What are you trying to burn music from?
I use Nero to burn stuff.. from mp3's right directly to a DVD as data... then I slap it in my mp3 player in my car.
