Definitely go for red and white roses for your petals and flowers. I'd use red and white rose petals on the cake and gift tables, maybe scatter some on the dining tables as well. I'd use white tablecloths with a sheer black or red overlay, or maybe alternate black and red overlays on the tables- some tables red, some black. Use white linen napkins and tie them with a twist of red and black ribbon. White candles inside hurricane glass with black and red glass beads as fillers.
Sounds like it'll be beautiful no matter what.
(Did you consider an oriental theme for your wedding?)

First of all - what is the time of day? Secondly - is this a traditional wedding or a bit on the avante garde?
If it were in the evening with just friends, you could go wild with red table clothes, black plates and white candles (white being the symbol of purity) Use a lot of red and white roses and carnations.
If you need to be more traditional, I'd use white tablecloths, black enameled napkin holders, salt & peper and accent pieces. Again use red roses and white carnations. White candles are a must at a wedding. Red is more for passion and black is more considered poor taste at a wedding.
Have fun - it is your wedding.

lots of candles.
clear glass cylinders in varied heights filled w/ red or white candies
or red fruit (like cherries or apples)
white flowers (hydrangea, dahlias, peonies, roses, lillies) group like flowers in clear glass or sterling silver vases for a boutique look. one big arrangement for a more traditional feel.
tie a black ribbon around a white candle or decorate a candle w/ red beads or jewels.
white (floor length) table cloth then a shorter black cloth overlay. use white china and black napkins. tuck a red rose into each "envelope" folded napkin. you can even tie a name tag to each rose for place cards.
these are just a few ideas to get you started. I hope they help!

Use a backyard topic because it will be outside. With this, you may then use many decorations you or your relatives might want to have already got which incorporates string clean string lighting fixtures fixtures. you may also purchase small and occasional-value potted plant life as favors, which could be used to beautify the tables besides. also, purchase flower pots that you want and purchase some higher plant life to beautify around the cake table, couple's table or ceremony that you will be able to later use at your man or woman residence. when you're serving a buffet type meal or appetizers, use books to prop up platters at diverse heights. verify such as your relatives for white fabrics tablecloths. because that is outside, they don't all ought to verify...yet protecting all of them white will make for a cohesive seem. I have protected an internet site for different ideas.

I'm thinking white table linens with red napkins, place settings.
Red and white flowers on the table, perhaps some red and white roses and carnations and baby's breath.
I would keep the black to a minimum.
