I've been on a few dating sites and to be honest found some really weird people on them, not all, and paying for that privilege. I am an outgoing person with a wicked sense of humour, told Im very attractive but get nowhere - and dont say Im looking too hard, truth is Im not but every now and again Im reminded that Im on my own

I think it's easier to meet people when you're older because you have so many more options. You can join career-networking clubs, volunteer, participate in community or chamber events. You can -depending on your skills/experience, give lectures at libraries. In fact libraries often hold lectures on various topics. You can take up a sport like sailing or golf. You can join a singles travel club. Take ballroom dance lessons (Our dance studio just sent an email asking more men to show up!). You can take classes or lessons of any kind... the list is endless. Just get out of the house.

I think when you get older you don't necessarily associate with people your age all the time - like in school. People also are attached and involved with family obligations and careers. Also, I know as I have aged I'm getting a little pickier about what I will and will not date and/or put up with.

I know what you mean some of the dating site are just people looking for sex although there are some genuine people just keep looking it's trial and error really there is always someone like yourself also looking Good luck

I'm the same but Ive not paid to go on dating sites. try joining person.com. I'm on it u do get limited use and some weirdos but its Mainley web cams so u can c who u r talkin to. If u join it look me up user name pj. Believe me I'm not a weirdo

yeh know the feeling I'am 28 find it hard talking to girls but then again i can be too shy so find it hard to start off a conversation. Maybe i need to try more i dont know keep on trying.

i go through stages of going on line ..i get so fed up
ive been told im not bad looking ...why are you still single ? you just want to scream at them anday I DONT KNOW !!!
but its easy for friends saying go out more ....we cant just go nto a pub for a drink on our own ...

I guess its coz we have so more inhibitions as we get older and also more "baggage".Most people that have become single again become more wary and more choosy.

i know what you mean. you like to feel like your not "looking" but then something stupid reminds you that your not with someone....
