In UK the best brand is Racoon... I've had them done twice and they were glued!

First time i had them done I was blonde and had them 16" long. I loved them because a bit of mousse and scrunching and they have lovely loose curls... Eventually I got bored so I had them taken out.

I recently had them done again for my wedding, I'm not a brunette, and this time I had them done 20" long!

I have now had them removed again, simply because they take so much looking after! But I do love them, and I will definitely have them done again in the future...

Both times my hair underneath was in beautiful condition after they were removed! All it needed was a trim xx

Getting the hair sewn into your braided hair is definitely the way to go. It can last for up to two months if properly washed, conditioned & styled while you have it in. The glue method is only good for a week and can cause damage to your natural hair if its not taken out properly. It's also very messy. You can buy hair on a track at any good beauty/hair supply store. Whenever i get a sew-in i use Zury 100% Human Hair. Make sure its human and not synthetic or you wont be able to hot curl it. But Zury is an excellent, well-known brand. Mske sure you see pictures of the stylists work before you commit to the hairstyle & take care of it. Good luck!

The best method dat won't cause that much damage and last awhile is sew-in. The best brand to use is Milky Way or Beverly Johnson, if I were to get my hair sewn in in Houston I would go to the African Braid Shops they do a very good job but alot of Black Beauty Shops know how to do beautiful weaves

I tried hair extensions, they were sewn in. They were awful. You can't really wash or brush your hair. you can't do a real ponytail because they will show on the back of your neck. I kept them in for almost a year. It is expensive to maintain also. You have to keep them moisturized too, it does dry out, then you have to get them tightened about every 6 wks, and replaced about every 6 mo. A friend had hers glued in and she hated them also. There isn't a method out there that won't damage your hair. I had the brand Milky Way, nice hair for the price. Extensions aren't worth the hassle or time.

Hi, please do yourself a favour if you have healthy hair be so care full, i had great lengths don't believe them all its not glue its keratin , rubbish, Ive seriously lost an aw full lot of hair I'm seriously so upset you cant imagine, i went to a very high quality salon and great lengths themselves recommended them 2 me as the man was one of there trainers as i had my first set in 1 of there recommend salons fitted but were fitted incorrectly since august 10Th2006 i had hair 2 my bra strap but curly and i wanted straight and longer as we all do, but its now Jan 2007 and i have hardly any hair left, I'm devastated as you all would be, and i couldn't have cared for them more than if they were a baby, so nothing but removal twice has caused this and
GREAT lengths say NOT GLUE!!!!!! be care full Ive spent all told £2,000 within 6months and now have not much hair and bald patches on my head due to Great Lengths, and if you contact them not a lot we can do between you and salon, but they were the 1s who told me to go there,
Message 2 you all be care full of
GREAT LENGTHS EXTENSIONS, do lots research on here and you will find I'm right and lots of other people are in same position as me
thanks for me getting this over i hope.

Ive had hair extentions befor and some people may say there anoying but after a day or to they feel just like your natural hair . My hair solon kept them in the shop so if you go to a nice enough hair dressers they should have all the brands they think are suitable and i had mine glued it and yes they did rewen my hair so then i had them braided in the back of my head and they stayed in twice as long and didnt efect my natural hair in any way . Hope you like them .

I have "Great Lengths" and they are exoensive, but wonderful! They use Indian Remi temple hair and in more than a month, I have yet to lose one bond! I can brush it, wash it, comb it, set it with rollers, flat iron it, whatever. I can't recommend them highly enough!

do not get real hair extensions, my sister did and she got headlice

Glued ones last longer but they're hell to get out!!

Clipped-in ones are very annoying coz they fall out easily

i recommend fake hair glued ones =]
