Depends upon the pil. Some are enteric-coated, so they don't dissolve in the stomach. If you crush it, then you could get an upset tummy or (depending upon the pill) it won't work right.
Best thing is to call and ask your pharmacist.
I would think most OTC meds can be safely crushed, or bought in a liquid form anyway.

Sometimes it is! Usually a pill produces a very bitter taste and you'd have to down all of it. But some pills are to be taken in their full form, so you need to check with the doctor about that one. If pills are difficult for you to swallow, find out if they have them in liquid form. If not, grab your favorite juice drink and put the pill in as far back as it will go then take a swig.

No it isn't becasuse your not teh only one that does it and next time if they can get it to you in a liquid ask for it. But that wya it's easier to swallow. and if you get a bitter taste the first time next time crush it put it on something sweet and take it that way.

Yes because if it is a time release pill then you will get too much too soon and get sick from it.

Ask your pharmacist. Certain pills can be crushed, some can't.

It shouldn't matter unless it is stated on the bottle not to do this.
