I am too old for the draft and have finished my enlistment contract. The only way I would go back in is if someone invaded American soil. No question about it. I should hope everyone would defend their own country.

It depends on the circumstances involving the Draft, what units and facilities are they being sent to, and if they are being sent to combat. I might enlist if it meant not being an infantry soldier- lets face it, I do not want to be cannon fodder, there are many other services I could sign up for that would keep me away from hot zones such as coast guard, etc. I guess if it was activated I would enlist now, before a waiting list developed, other than that I might just wait it out and see if my number gets pulled. I am a college student and as far as I know, the rules about the draft have changed very little since it was last used in vietnam.

I am to old to be drafted, but I do have a son who would be eligible in five years. I do not believe in the Iraq war, however I feel more efforts need to be done in Afghanistan.
I do support a draft as it is not fair that only 1% of the population is making the sacrifice. If a draft was automatically initiated at the start of the Iraq war, I believe many more would have pressured the president not to proceed or to at least have a plan.

I have been fighting for the past few years to be able to re-enlist in the military. Maybe if they brought up the draft I would have a better shot at getting back in.
Oh, and when did Bush go AWOL?

I am young and a female. I would never enlist and I would resist the draft. The term "War on Terror"? is a term made up by the president and his cronies. But "terror" has been around for centuries, and it will remain in our midst until the end of time.
Oh. I forgot. I'm younger than they are, but If the Bush twins were drafted or if they enlisted voluntarily, I might change my mind. As long as I was assigned to the same unit as they were.

First of all if they reinitiate the draft half of the people in this country would renounce theri citizenship and go elsewere, As for my even if they bring back the draft i dont have to go... No not for legal issues but because i was already discharged from the military (honorable) under medical conditions so i am set everyone else can go fight this fake *** war

Quit trying to start controversy where isn't any. There is NO chance of there being a draft in the land of the free and home of the someone else's kids, but not mine!
