They don't pay taxes.

They sometimes engage in fraudulent voting.

They don't have health insurance, so when they are sick, they go to the hospital, where they are required by law to take care of the sick no matter what, at the expense of the taxpayer. This also increases waiting time for others.

They get mad at the wrong people. People if anyone shoud be getting mad at the employers because they allow it to go on. There needs to be some kind of guest worker program for documentation and employers need to pay taxes. I agree about that.

But, Illegals are not stealing anyone's jobs. In this world you get paid mostly based on your education and skills. Not because you may happen to be American. That is why so many jobs are being outsourced. If you have the same skills and education as someone in India and they are willing to work for less guess what they are going to get the job. Plain and simple and rightfully so. Why should an American get paid more for the same skills. Its the same thing as wal-mart. You go there because you want the most for your money. Employers want the most for their money also. If don't have a higher education and more skills than Illegal Immigrants and people in other countries its going to be rough because it is becoming a larger and larger golbal economy. So if you don't make youself better and keep up then plain and simple you will be left out. If we do this as a society than we will also be left behind. Congress should be worried more about making a more demanding education system with more opprotunites for learning advanced job skills than it should Illegal immigrantion. That is what is really what Americans need to advance in this society.

Ambition is a great thing isn't it. It's Universal. But, ambition means squat without opportunity. Opportunity is to be celebrated. Opportunity is to be Earned.

There are exceptions to the 'earning' of opportunity. But, instead of referring to those exceptions as lazy bastards, we Americans call them LUCKY bastards. Luck is probably universal. I don't know enough about luck except one little thing.

There aren't any crappy jobs in America. Only crappy attitudes and crappier employers. When a corporation learns that it can pay minimum wage (and much less than living wages!) and earn a tidy profit for its shareholders and an even tidier bonus for its officers, when their employee's hospital medical care is being covered by the taxpayers of their residing state...

Any job is a good job. Compensation and benefits is what sucks when illegals are hired. Why pay more or give more to the law-abiding citizen or resident alien? The illegals don't ask for much, so we should let them set the standard?!?

My mother came to the US via the legal route. I remember the day she exchanged her green card for her naturalization papers. We had a big neighborhood party that night.

She never avoided the legal steps that it took to become a Naturalized Citizen. She literally took it one step at a time. She never whined.

Let me repeat myself, she never whined. She had ambition. She understood that she needed to create an opportunity. She took the steps necessary to earn (ie deserve) the opportunity. She passed that opportunity on to us kids. That's that one little thing that I learned about luck. She was my mom, I was lucky!

How about the term "illegal"? If it is illegal, it is a crime!
Do it the right way, wait your time, learn English and pay your taxes, and I have no problem with people immigrating to the US. I have a problem with illegal immigrants having protest rallies demanding change in a country that they are not citizens of. Maybe if they stood up for themselves in their own country, they could make their own country great someday, like we have. I have a problem with any flag flying higher than the American flag as a protest. I have a problem with illegal immigration, not legal immigration.

Im not jusitifying people hating illegal immigrants and am indifferent to the illegal immigration issue, but I think I know why they might be against it. A lot of people that get laid off here in america (which is a lot with this economy) have to resort to the jobs that "no one wants". Our economy is so badly broken right now that people who get laid off now have no resort and blame it on the illegal immigration. Lack of a job doesnt ALWAYS mean lack of ambition, either. A lot of companies are forced to let go half of their employees and everything, and people lose their jobs based on economic factors ahead of them. Also illegal immigration could be considered an issue because of security reasons. Look what happened on 9-11, it's possible that immigrants being smuggle in plan to do harm, it's best to know who is entering our country and for what reasons they are. Immigration is fine, I understand why so many people want to be in our country, but illegal immigration could pose a threat. Not only for americans but for the immigrants. They will get better benefits if they come into the country the correct way, and they will be able to get better healthcare, etc. Immigration isnt a problem, but a lot of people feel the way i describe up there. Legal immigration is a lot better for both parties when it is legal though. I hope that answers some of your "question"!

You can't have it both ways. Either they work at less than desirable jobs are they don't. Ones work habits does not dictate what the immigration laws are based on. Besides if illegal aliens are such hard workers why is it as you stated they can only get the crappiest jobs around that no one wants than you say they are actually very good jobs. You can never go home for it doesn't exist

I don't whine because they have crappy jobs. It's the principal of the matter. There are legal ways to come to the US to work and become a citizen. But instead, they take the LAZY way by jumping the border instead of following the process. American born citizen and naturalized citizens should both be equally outraged.

unlawful immigration has an result on our financial device, in a bad way. The unlawful use of alcohol and/or drugs could be constrained and might actually help our financial device if we take the properly suited strikes. by using making drugs legal we can be waiting to tax them; in turn getting money off of it, and finally reducing the cost. As for immigration, we've a legal way of immigrating into our country. in actuality, that's what our country is made out of. as long as they do it LEGALLY there must be no subject.

Why is it people like you don't understand the concept of Illegal?

Illegal aliens come to the US by breaking the law. They cost the US taxpayer money thru publicly funded things like schools, hospitals, jails. They often times don't have car insurance and when they get into accidents, its ends up costing legal immigrants and citizens more money.

Many are lower income, unskilled workers - so that means they either don't contribute much in taxes and in many cases get help from charities-- again, an additional drain on society.

And your point about crappiest jobs is wrong. True, some illegals work crappy jobs. But many also work in higher paying skilled trade jobs (e.g. carpenters, electricians, plumbers, masons, etc.), they work in restaurants, offices, etc. Just because one works in a blue-collar job doesn't make it a crappy job. And it is insulting to all who are in those trades to call them crappy jobs.

I don't hate immigratns-- I'm one my self. And I'm certainly not lazy- how can you insinuate that legal residents and citizens are all lazy?

Because it is not fair to the people that wait years to get in this country legally. I just think there is a right and a wrong way to do things. I don't care if you are from Mexico central or south America or Europe if you come illegally you should be sent back BECAUSE you broke the law. I mean why should be just be allowed to come here illegally cause they feel like it. I mean i have to go though the processes for waiting for my boyfriend to come here legally for the UK so why shouldn't other people have to do the same. I mean come on

I am not mad at them. As to them having crappy jobs that no one will do that is a lie. They just took 68 out of the company I work for. They did the same job and got the same pay. I think you need to stop with the name calling and generalizations. They are illegal and that is the problem.
