My understanding of the law is, you have to be convicted in a court of law for drug related offences. As you have not been, I cant see where the problem lies. You would be amazed at the who's who in our society who have dabbled on occasion. I would question the doc in a roundabout way. If you are not a persistent user, all signs will have disappeared from your bloodstream by the time your check up date arrives.

Not knowing what country you are in makes it difficult to give a true answer. Assuming you are in UK I would take the advice that you went to Amsterdam for weekend. Drug testing is becoming more common nowadays. It is done randomly where I work and if you test positive then I beleive you are sacked. Dont know of anyway around this as the test they use can pick up traces in the body from 3 months prior to testing. Anyway Australia!!! Isn't that where we sent criminals years ago. Why they so picky now?Just go for it and see. Nothing ventured nothing gained and good luck

I think you are doing fine by taking the first step to see your doc and confessing to him as well.He will be able to help you and i will be delighted if you can go on and quit smoking. Good luck my friend
