i wanna make grape jell-o since it's the only kind i have and add marshmallows to it, but i've never made it before...just wondering if i let the jell-o set up about an hour and a half before adding the marshmallows or do i add them immediately before i put it into the fridge? i don't wanna put them in too early and have it not set up right so i 'm just wondering what i should do??? thanks tons :)

YOu need to do it when the jello is about to become firm. Maybe 45 minutes. when you put you marshmellow in and it moves down a little it's ready. Because since it's liquid a marshmellow might just sink. also you can put othere stuff in it as well like pineapple chunks,nuts or whtever you have. Also you can I me anytime for more advice

If you don't mind them all floating to the top of the bowl add them after you put the cold water in. If you want them dispersed through-out the Jell-o you could do the quick chill method w/ ice then stir the marshmallows in or let it set for about an hour then add marshmallows.

The marshmellows should stay suspended in the jello after the jello has been in the refrigerator for about 30 to 40 minutes. Stir some in and see if they sink to the bottom or not. If they sink wait a little longer and try again.

Let is set up for awhile other wise the marshmallows will dissolve and your Jello will look like puke. LOL

Let it set up a bit. Once it's sorta gelled, but not all the way, then stir them in.

I think you should let it sit a little but don't wate to long or it won't work.
