I've seen that the suggested dosage of proteins when bodybuilding is about 2 grams per kilogram of body weight a day. I have calculated this with different foods and it just doesn't seem healthy to me to eat that much proteins. Am I right?

Excess protein is filtered through your kidneys as ammonia/urea and it makes the kidneys work harder.Also it could increase cholesterol if it is animal protein.

No, you're not right.

Absent an existing problem with your kidneys, the body can process large amounts of protein without issue.
