This comes to 1200 calories, and I do 50 minutes of cardio and 15 minutes of resistance training every day. Will this plan work, even though the fat content of the Banquet meals is very high?

Hi, this plan should work as long as you are using up the energy you are intaking.

Even if something is very high in fat, if you are very active you will be utilizing the energy in the food, not allowing it to build up on your body.

More importantly that the fat is making sure you are intaking enough protein. You can do this with protein powder in a mixed drink. Same with fiber. If not then yuor resistance training will become more damaging than helpful, as your muscles need the protein to build and strengthen.

The fiber supplement would be a good idea to make sure your digestive tract has some help during your diet.

Beware of those frozen food dinners; when I was younger I used to eat those small Michelina's frozen food for lunch everyday 5 times a week. I ended up with high cholesterol. Try shopping for healthy meals at a health supermarket such as Sprouts they have free magazines that have good healthy eating tips. If you are female 1200 calories and a good a good cardiovascular exercise you will see good results. Keep in mind though that the first few pounds may come of quick and the last 10-20 may take more time and patience.

No offense, but a Banquet frozen dinner isn't exactly healthy.
And with all the exercise you're putting in, you'll probably end up gaining more weight than you lose, due to gaining muscle.
Plus, if the fat content of the Banquet meals is high, then the calories don't matter. It takes 3000 calories to make a pound, but a lot less fat to make a pound.

I would suggest you eat six, smaller, healthier meals. Things like carbs boost your energy temporarily, so eat a lot of leafy green vegetables, and drink a lot of water.

Switch out your banquet dinners to lean cuisines or weight watchers meals. They are much healthier. Banquets are fattening and LOADED with sodium and preservatives. There's a reason they're only 99 cents.

I lost 20 pounds in 6 weeks (and kept it off) on a similar plan - I had a weight watchers dinner for dinner, a wendy's side salad for lunch, breakfsat, and 2 small snacks and I kept it around 1200 calories a day. it was very easy to follow and i was never hungry.

how many calories you consume daily needs to be determined by your height, weight, and sex. This could help you to lose weight. There's a great deal of sodium in the frozen dinners as well as extra fat. These can make it a little more difficult for your body to lose weight.

I would recommend you see your doctor and ask how many calories would be good for you to consume based on your body type. That would be the most accurate way to find out what you need.

Banquet dinners are not that healthy alot of trans fat and alot of sodium..if you want to lose a lil weight with frozen meals.(fresh is better)
Stick with one of these instead: Healthy Choice -low in sodium and low in trans fat very well-balanced meals.

Lean Cuisine-more sodium then healthy choice but still well balanced.

Smart Ones- just as good as both above plus they tell you how many carbs..protein and such you are getting if you are keeping track.

Eat fresh fruits and veggies for snacks and maybe oatmeal for breakfast or a god cereal like kashi, grapenuts etc..

Drink lots of water and you should see some significant results.

dont listen to people telling you about starvation or panic mode.... it is impossible to gain weight not eating it is impossible to gain weight in starvation mode. most anorexics, eat less than 500 calories a day, and excersise off about half of what they eat however, they have "binge" days aorund 1000 cals probably once every week or two. even in starvation mode, you still need WAY more than 500 calories. maybe like 1500 calories. so that is a deficit of 1000 cals a day anyway, so they still lose weight in starvation mode, your body sets aside everything you eat into fat stores, but since you still need ~1500 calories a day, it takes it out of the fat stores again, so you lose weight they live like that for ages, so they are skinny even if you do that for like 2 months, but slowly increase calories by like 50 a day, then you'd be pretty skinny. its just that most people don't have the willpower to eat like that for more than a day or two, and then they proceed to eat everything in sight, making them gain weight. thats why everyone says not eating makes you gain weight- not true. binge eating after not eating makes you gain weight also, anorexics have an increased risk of "dying" when their BMI is less than 13-14 (generally) some can get to less than 10 and survive. not everyone with an ED dies. 1 in 4 do (and that is the deathly skinny one) the rest never really get a BMI under 16ish and just sit around there for the duration of the disorder. and the human body can survive several years on 500 calories a day (provided you take vitamins), and up to 80 days with no food whatsoever people who diet and eat lower that 1200 calories a day which alot of people call "starvation mode" gain weight when they start eating more because they eat waaaaaaaaaaaaaay over the amount of calories their bmr reccomends....thats why they gain weight its not from eating tless than 1200 calories and then eating normal hah now you know all you need to know on staarvation mode

Decaf coffee is a great low-calorie fluid when you're having cravings (and an incredible source of antioxidants).

Do your food shopping with a list and a moment limit; that way, you're not as likely to stray into the processed foods section.
