If we have to pay taxes so that the government can fund their myriad of programs....?

Then shouldn't we be allowed to pick the programs we personally support? I do not believe my husband should have to work an extra 20 hours per week to support through his taxes the co-habitating couple with 4 kids on government welfare-why should they get $2000 per month in food stamps and $800 housing allowance.

I would rather support breast cancer research, Autism and feed those truly hungry like hurricane victims..that is where my tax dollars should go.

You pick the government programs through electing and communicating with your government representatives.

You can support additional programs of your choosing through charitable contributions.

If you don't like how your tax dollars are being spent, contact your representatives in Washington. That's the only way to get anything changed.

No idea where you get your numbers from, but a family of 6 doesn't get anywhere near $2k a month in food stamps.

It's highly unlikely that your husband works 20 hours a week for your ENTIRE tax liability let alone any specific social welfare program. The true number is probably closer to 2 or 3 at most.

If you want to protest, get your facts straight first, please. Using made-up "facts" as your are only says that you don't know what you're talking about and therefore are not worth listening to.

this is why you ellect officials into office that you support their ideals and beliefs. vote for persons trying to get into office who support the same things that you do and if they get into office you will see the money going to other places.
