EWWWWWW!!! I had my toenails done a year or 2 ago. I'm suprised you haven;t got dressing on them as I had mine on for a few days if not more than a week!! I would definatley not work as you will be on your feet the last thing you want is an infection in your toes!!!! Surely the doctor or nurse performing the surgery gave you a leaflet about aftercare and some extra dressings?

Cover your toes with bandages, they should be fine, but if u can get a day off, take it. Work boots are one of the reasons u are getting ingrown toenails, especially steel toes,

You definetly might want to take tomorrow off. You should have atleast 2-3 days off especially if your work requires you to have such boots. You dont want to get an infection and covering them with gauze will not protect them.

Take a shower everyday clean area well with soap and water, dry properly.
Go to pharmacy;
Get and apply "bacitracin ointment" to effected area (this is an antibiotic cream, feet have a high level of bacteria on them from being stuffed in socks and boots and sweating).
Wrap in dressing wear clean (or new) socks.
Go to work.

If they are still weeping tomorrow, I would take another day. Better safe than sorry....an infection in them will defeat the whole purpose!
Stay home and keep your feet up!

I would advise you to take the time off, you will be in a world of hurt if you mess around and infect those areas. It is going to be painfull when you go back to work as it is so try to take it easy.

Cover the toes with a gauze bandage tomorrow and be sure you are wearing white cotton socks. Your feet should be fine.
