I now have version 11, but once had 10. I want 10 back but when I try to download it an error occurs and reads "this version isn't compatible with your version of windows." If I had 10 before I dont understand why it won't work now.

try removing the media player 11 first then resinstall media player 10
if u dont know how to remove media player 11 then follow these steps........involve interaction with registry do it at your own risk
goto regedit....u can type it in the Run or browse it in Windows folder
now goto HKEY_Localmachine
then follow these keys Software>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>Uninstall> then
find ur media player 11 in that list and select it
now on the right side showing the values open the UninstallKey.....dblclick on it
copy the contents of it and then paste it in the Run and then execute it
media player 11 will be uninstalled now.

ok, shall we only tell the entire international that you've a counterfeit version of a application that surely prices adequate to be considered grand robbery.. gorgeous.. in any case, you should only keep on with 11, there'll be some issues that 10 can't do because the improve became required. 11 can do each little thing 10 can do plus extra so only keep on with it.

microsoft say do this to remove wmp 11, uninstall media player 11, also uninstall media player 11 runtime and also uninstall microsoft user mode driver framework feature pack 1.0, then reboot your computer and it will revert automatically to media player 10. I have done this and I know it works, those extra programs are there for the running of media player 11
