I'm planning to make a trifle this weekend, but will I be able to keep it in the fridge for say a month? Will it still be fresh and not go bad? Cos there's bread in it, and I know that bread can't last that long. Thanks in advance.

Okay, trifles usually contain dairy products -- in the form of milk, cream or whipped cream -- fruit and other perishable ingredients. Like any other "leftover" that will probably make its way in and out of the refrigerator a few times (allowing the temperature of the trifle to fluctuate) before it's finished off...I would follow the "leftover rule" and not leave it in the fridge for more than 3 days.

Trifle should be eaten the same day that it is made. Otherwise it just becomes a soggy mess.

i made it with a sturdy dry homemade cake and NOT runny custard and fresh firm berries. It is now 3 days old and not soggy. I want to keep it in my very cold fridge for 3 days more and serve it individually w/ fresh whipped cream. Any problems with that? I will taste it first. It now tastes and has texture as when I first made it. Delicious. Made on Christmas, want to reserve in individual dishes for New Years... Thanks!

You won't be able to keep it longer than 3-4 days in the fridge, and that's only if you cover it tightly w/ plastic wrap.
