last week i saw on a t.v show (was not a reality show) a gril with 16 years old she had a health problem that could kill her if she didn´t took care of it ,so her mother put her in a lunatic asylum , the gril had no mental problems. I just wanna ask if a parent of a tenager can put there tenager in a lunatic asylum if they have a health problem that could kill the tenager and the tenager dosen´t wanna take care of it, even if the tenager has no mental problem.

the parents can´t put the tenager in a place that makes the tenager get cured even if she or he doesn´t wanna get cured ,they can´t make the tenager do what they don´t wanna do.right???

I am not sure about all situations, but yes, your parent can have you committed. I don't think they can keep you there though if there are no issues.

Yes parent's can have their child committed if say for example the child didn't want to take their med's but if they don't they will die. It fall's under the category of attempted suicide.
