If you love your puppies so much you didnt want them to go to the pound then why did you let your dog breed in the first place? Did you realize that you could have been the direct reason your dog died, being pregnant with 18 puppies? What kind of health and nutrition was she in before she was pregnant and while she was pregnant. I am sorry she died I dont know the entire story but the small amount of information you have given is enough to think you are not a very responsible owner. A good breeder would always be sure to do research to find homes BEFORE they breed. Labs are the most common dog in america next to Golden Retrievers. Your going to have a very tough time finding homes for 18 puppies with a sorted background, to GOOD owners. If you dont want bad owners to buy your puppies then dont give them away on a chat program. Giving them to a RESCUE or SHELTER is a better solution than you trying to find them homes cause you obviously didnt do a very good job. All you need to do it call and talk to several shelters and rescues to see if they are a no kill or a decent shelter. If you give them to a shelter they have the resources and the knowledge to get them to good homes, they will have them spayed and nuetered and they will be sure the dogs dont fall into irresponsible hands. So that the female puppies dont have to die the same way there mother did.

Where do you live? Usually Lab puppies go fast because they are such a popular and wonderful breed. Place an ad in your local paper or online on craigslist for your area. It will obviously take time to get rid of 18 puppies, that is a huge litter!!! I am so sorry that you lost her, you must be devestated. I would just die if that happened to my Labs. My heart so goes out to you. Have you considered keeping one or two and having them altered? That way you can keep part of your wonderful dog with you still? I would hate to hear that you had to send them to the shelters, as fast as they go in there, there is also a much higher chance of contracting diseases and that is so sad. I was recenetly in there and one puppy had distemper, exposed the whole kennel and all adoptions had to be put on hold until all dogs were cleared. How sad!! I would screen all potential new homes for the puppies and request that everyone alters them if they are going to take them. Good luck!

actually, your best bet MIGHT be the local shelter, puppies dont stay there long at all. thats where i got my puppy. i went in after a very depressing ordeal and there they were, 7 aussy sheps 8 weeks old. they were available for addoption the following day so i went back and there were so many people waiting there i didnt think i was going to be able to get them. but i got my little sweetheart and i found out from my vet (who works with the shelter on spaying) that they were all addopted that day.
other than that, i would try a local no-kill shelter, but really, puppies are pretty quick to go. just dont give them to a pet store. also try advertising on craigslist.com and in your local paper. and put up a flyer at the local grocery story

I am so sorry for your loss. And, for the time it is going to take for you to find homes for your 18 little babies.
Yours is the best possible reason to spay your dog. Please have all of your puppies spayed and neutered before you adopt them out, I am certain the county you live in can direct you to a free service.

Hi, go to craigslist.com and find your specific area and post an ad for your puppies, I wouldnt recommend advertizing them for free, charge a small re-homing fee to insure a good home. good luck and sorry about your dog, but things happen.
