I drink OJ all the time and it is very beneficial for your overall system, however it doesn't stay in your body for very long. If you replensih your juice with water to clean out the toxins, and wastes that accumulate in your body, then eat, drink more OJ, then water again, and of course with staying fit is also beneficial for your health. I think the best OJ is Simply Orange Pulp Free. Your immune system stays maintained when these nutrients from VIT C are in there. Of course it doesn't prevent all diseases, but it can help a lot in the cold season, if you drink it everyday. Also try drinking OJ at night, it is a better time releaser, and absorbs in your body more. To find anything out with facts try your local library, and research journals and Medical articles. Medical Jouranls are a great way to support answers to your questions, never just anyones word for it. The research of how VIT C affects the body should be medically documented and proven. Hope this helps.

You can't really overload on Vitamin C and call it a bad thing.

The acid may destroy your stomach if you drink too much OJ- I've recently switched to a low acid OJ because my stomach couldn't deal with the acid level in regular OJ.

Drinking too much OJ can cause diahrrea because of all the Vitamin C which will lead to dehydration and then you're in trouble. If you have a serving once a day, that should be enough Vitamin C to boost your immune system which will prevent your being suseptible to colds and other airborne viruses. I believe that Vitamin C only helps boost the immune system - it does not directly prevent any type of disease.

OJ can be high in natural sugars, so drinking tons of it can harm your teeth and make you put on weight.

OJ does not prevent disease (unless you count scurvy, vitamin c deficiency) , but is has been noticed that colds and flu deplete the body's supply of vitamin c and it is possible that increasing your intake of vitamin c may help the body compensate and get over a cold or flu more quickly.

The body does not store vitamin c so its virtually impossible to overdose on it. with other vitamins, like vitamin a, you need to be careful.

OJ has a lot of Vitamin C and can help wen u have the flu e.t.c as it builds up more anti bodies in ur blood system helping fight off bacteria. However it can act like a laxative if you have too many, so stick to one or 2 glasses a day! xx
