Nothing much as just about anyone can regisiter a litter of anything in either club. Either registration may give the owner of a new pup false confidence about the genetic history and make up of their pup.

The Kennel Club was established in the 19th century and has been accepting registrations since then. You cannot register a dog with them unless the parents are also registered. It's not a completely foolproof system but far superior to any other. The oldest "other" club is probably about 15 years old. Other clubs will accept registrations from anyone daft enough to pay for a meaningless piece of paper. You can make up your breed, dog's parents name, anything you want with no comeback. What is the point?

the kennel club is the far superior club. to show your dog or breed it you will need to be KC registered. The dog lovers club is just really a registration for pet dogs. It will provide you with the 3 generation history of your pup but they do not permit breeding. hope this clarify's the matter slightly for you.

KC is the only registration you need if you wish to show or breed...the other one is just so unscrupulous breeders can advertise their dogs are registered to ask for more money for them it is not worth the paper it is written on ...there are no guarantees with it that you even have the dog named as the breeder can use any name as many times as they wish...don't go there if you want a registered dog...go to the kennel club

dog lovers reg is a money making scheme. It means nothing. They don't verify pedigrees, control puppy farming and you cannot enter dog shows with a dog which is registered with them. They came about purely to make money out of people who breed from unregistered dogs and puppy farmers who want to breed their bitches more times than the KC allows. KC is an officila registration, it controls most aspects of perdigree dogs, host shows like crufts, check and verify pedigrees and much much more besides.

You can not register a litter of anything with either club. That is just false information.

AKC or KCs in other countries, the dogs are pure breeds with known and documented lineage going back, some times, since the breed was accepted as a breed. AKC holds dogs to standards of the breed and holds breeders to standards and rules set by them.

The pet lovers clubs are basically for people who love their dogs and like getting together to share stories, help locate missing dogs, and create a network for those dogs who are not qualified for the AKCs. They are wonderful people and so are their dogs but they aren't shown, aren't bred, and are never intended to be anything but just pets.

For the rottie, no you may't register her. both between the mothers and fathers want to be registered. considering her mothers and fathers are not, she will't be both. As for the Pug, you'll want to get in contact with the breeder and bypass from there.
