okay, to clarify. Wasn't sure of the word origin meant no offense to any one...I think it means to become upset, but not sure

Word used in conversation, don't know correct spelling...could it be Yiddish?

it looks like italian to me- but that would be if the word is agita: from agitare, to act and possi from the verb potere- to be able to. I'm not sure though but i really don't think it's hebrew. Was this phrase in hebrew letters?
