Go to free events in your area for things that you like. For example art fairs if you like art, Museums, exhibits, open mics, happy hour at a club or restaurant. If you're into sports going to bars to watch games is fun and you meet a lot of people. See what's going on in the community and try to be there.

My number one choice is go out with a group of friends u know and just walk up to other people and conversate. What I do is call one friend and we go to the bar when we get there we go our own way and just talk to people. I have meet alot of great people by doing that and now we see each other every weekend. Its cool!
