well, I think that depends. Do you just sit around doing ABSOLUTELY nothing? or are you active? although it is highly unlikely that you are active, no calories = no energy. but I agree that about 1000 is where you may want to be before dinner. either way, i'm not an expert, i'm only speaking out of experience. maybe you should try a LOW fat diet, instead of counting calories. I was 175 lbs, and now am 109 from that diet and exercise.

It really depends on the ideal number of calories you should consume daily - which is based on gender, weight, etc. I think 600 sounds about right for me too, considering I try to eat between 1800-2000 each day and split the calories fairly evenly between meals. I think the most important things is that you're eating foods that have healthy calories (meaning lean proteins, veggies, "good" carbs) rather than getting your calories from high fat or sugary foods. Hope that helps!

Yes that is. Not a good idea.
You should have at a minimum 1200 calories.
You're really not helping your body by eating so little. As a matter of fact your body is likely to slow down it's metabolism and go in starvation mode which means any more weight loss won't occur for a long while.

this is just an example:
if your daily caloric intake is 1800 calories you divide that by the number of meals a day that you eat. 4 should be the absolute minimum.
1800 / 4 = 450 calories per meal.

Definitely. At the minimum, you should be getting 1200 to 1500 calories per day. And it's better to graze throughout the day then to fill it in one or two meals (that's just asking for cravings and binging).

You're supposed to have over 1000 a day, but I just heard the other day that if you lower your calorie intake, you may increase the chance of living longer.
