My doctor told me if your nose is producing anything with a color - especially green or yellow - that is the sign of an infection. If it is watery then it is probably allergies.

Sometimes it's very hard to tell. But being sick usually causes a fever, while allergies usually don't.
Are there specific situations where your symptoms occur?

Improper nutrition and emotional stress leads to illness.
When your body is healthy and in balance, and you do not feel any pain it should be difficult for any allergic stimulant to affect you.
