Everytime I work out my legs, specifically any type of squats or lunge exercises, no matter how light of a weight I lift, I almost always pull or cramp my hamstrings and am unable to continue the exercise. Any solutions to this?

Yeah, you need to stretch them out a lot more before you work out. Try walking around a track for 20-30 min or riding a bike for 20. Your legs support you, so the last thing you want is to get hurt!! Try doing high reps and lower weight for a couple weeks. This way your legs will start to get stronger without getting hurt, then go heavier. Start with 3 sets of 15 reps. Then after a few weeks, you can get to 10, 8, 6 reps and higher the weight everytime. Also, make sure you are doing the workout correctly, a lot of people think they are but do them wrong and it can hurt people. Ask a trainer to watch you for a second and see if you are doing it right. They should help you for a minute. Hope it works out for you!!

You're probably not warming up. You should do a good stretching routine before you get started, this should help the problem.
