I've designed all of my own tats so I guess they all do. I can tell you when and why each tat was gotten. I'm proud of my ink and know my parents were proud of me before they died. I have a tat of my dads hands holding my sons hands and another one of my moms hands holding a winged heart. I guess what i'm trying to say is if you are passionate about your ink you can relate anything to you memories and family, because it's your expression.

Sure that's what all of my tats represent. I don't do names.
My angel is for my oldest daughter.
My dolphin wrapped in a music ribbon is for my youngest daughter.
My taz is for my son.
My trinity is for my sisters.
My cherokee star is for my grandmother.
IN WORKS - opening rose with a cherokee lady kneeling inside will be for my mom.
These are only a couple of what I have.

For my mom, dad and brothers, I can think of a lot of unique and personal symbols to represent all of them as individuals. For the whole family, I probably couldn't figure out just one image to use, but if I got a tattoo for them, it would probably wouldn't be as a whole family, just as each person.

My papa first got his name done in Chinese while in Hong Kong during the 'Nam crisis. About 30 years later my brother and I both got it to commemorate my father and our family.
I also have a Chinese character meaning father and daughter.
My father is a big part of my life.
