Not always true. I'm very thin and I was told a tattoo on my ankle would kill since I'm boney and it didn't hurt at all. Stomach tattoos are iffy because if you gain weight or get pregnant, there is not promise the tattoo will go back to the way it was. Just be careful if you get a tattoo there.
The pain factor is more based on general location (areas that bend and have lots of nerve endings will always hurt more), you personal tolerance to pain will have a factor in it as well as the artist who does it (some have a heavy hand which means they tend to put more pressure on when tattooing than others)

Wow sweetie!!!! Your 5"7 and 97 pounds??? I'm 5"0, 90 pounds, and I'm 26 years old. I'm pretty skinny too, and I have a couple of tattoos. Being skinny has nothing to do with it hurting more or less. It will hurt some people no matter what size they are. It boils down to how much pain a person can tolerate, not their body weight.
Hope this helped

I've heard rib tattoos can be very painful. Either at the ribs or just below them. But the way, how painful is a tattoo on your wrist. I was thinking of getting some work done there.

It depends on your pain tolerance as well as the location of where you want your tattoo. From my experience....I was 101 lbs when I got my first tattoo on my lower back. My pain tolerance is high also, so it did not bother me at all. My second tattoo is on my ankle and once again, it did not bother me. Others have said that if you get a tattoo on bone that it hurts. As I have said, it basically depends on your pain tolerance. Maybe start with a small tattoo somewhere and see how you do. Good Luck!

It all depends on your pain tolerance. I was 98 pounds when i got my first tattoo on my shoulder blade and it didnt hurt until he was alomst done. The stomach is going to be more painful because of the tenderness in that area. But also take into account that if you get pregnant the tattoo is going to stretch and look funny. Just a thought.
Hope this helps and happy tattooing!

Weight doesn't matter at all!!!
I had a tattoo on my lower back and fell asleep because I didn't feel a thing. While some of my friends, with lower back tattoos, said they were in so much pain they cried. I also have one on my upper shoulder, which hurt like hell, but I know some people who said their tattoo, on their shoulder, didn't hurt at all.
It totally is up to you and your pain tolerance.

Well i guess that means u don't have one right? So i believe that it will hurt anyways. I got one two years ago and i was skinny and i got one when i was a little bigger. most people say it doesn't hurt but i think they just forget about the pain. Or they really like it. But to me it hurts the best way to put it is> It feels like a Capet burn over and over intil it becomes numb. hope that help a little.
