I personally use it before I brush, but talking after talking to a friend, she said she used it after. On the bottle, it doesn't specify when its best either, so which is??

Brush, floss, then rinse with Listerine for about 30 seconds to kill germs. Then rinse with Plax for about a minute for the flouride. This is what my dentist told me to do.

Honestly, it depends on the mouthwash. There are some that are specifically designed to loosen plaque, and therefore supposed to be used before you brush your teeth. There are others that are designed to strengthen tooth enamel, and therefore supposed to be used after you brush your teeth.

I think with the run-of-the-mill, all-purpose mouthwash, it doesn't really matter all that much. I generally use it after i brush, for the same reason that i'll mop the floor -after- i sweep it. I want to get all the gunk out before i shine it up all pretty-like. But i've also been known to use it before i brushed my teeth, just because i was in Just That Sort Of Mood.

They have the mouthwash out that u use before you brush to help loosen and plaque and freshen your breath. I guess it's really your preference.

i use it AFTER.because after you brush your teeth it the debris that remins in your teeth will be flushed by mouthwash. our mouth says" rinse or gargle for 30 secs with 30 ml after brushing, and before social engaements"

>so i want to clarify this... you will rinse BEFORE going to social engagements not BEFORE brushing.

I use it before and after. I use Crest pro health care before I brush, to loosen up any junk and then I use it after to freshen my breathe.
