We deserve to be pampered and spoiled!

How about this - I'm an old fashioned guy who really tried to go above and beyond for the girls I'm dating / interested in to make them happy / interested. Now - of course - I'm trying to get together with an extremely independent and strong woman. She doesn't seem to appreciate any of my romantic - "courting" gestures. She's not very expressive or affectionate - but I'm completely crazy about her.

Anyway - the point I'm trying to make is this. Maybe the reason that guys "don't court" anymore is because there are more women who won't express how much they appreciate being treated like this. Instead - women of the 21st century are strong and independent. Its almost like some women have forgotten how to act "girly" when an old fashioned guy comes around... and all that does is discourage guys from sticking to those tendencies. We have to evolve our tactics with the changing attitudes of women. We don't want to feel discouraged.

But don't worry, I'll keep at it. I'm too much of a hopeless romantic to give up so easily.

u know...im a guy...and i agree with u. but only to a certain point. i do believe ladies should be pampered and spoiled, but sometimes we get discouraged when u girls have nothing to offer back. all u want is spoiling for urself and only urself. what bout us guys??? we like a lil lovin here n there. sometimes we want to be appreciated and have things done for us also, but some girls think it should only run one way. so my point is if u wanna be pampered and spoiled, u should also think of doing the same for ur man. if not then be prepared to continue being single. :)

Only because we don't say what we like or expect. And that goes for guys as well. Both sexes come across the date that doesn't know about simple courtesies that are common sense.

If you "expect" to be pampered and spoiled ... you are likely one of those people I'm talking about.

I'd rather pamper and spoil myself, merci beaucoup. I don't need a man to do that, or anything else, for me.

But women are to blame because they make things way too easy for them. The men get lazy and even if a real lady requires more, they decide to go for less quality because it's easy.

i really have to agree with you on this. youhardly see a guy open the door for you ,or let you go first anymore. you dont see a guy pull out a chair for you,or giver you compliments like they used to .or help you put on your coat.i think we have seen the last of this. at least most of us have anyway.it would be nice to see this behavior come back again but i really doubt it ever will

i agree..but i blame alot of it on those women that give it up toooo easily and the ones that whore themsevles around ..the ones that give no respect to themselve and want no respect from men..so with all that why should a man court us..when they get it sooo freely and easily...
i hope i did not offend anyone..but it is the truth

We heard decades of equality and feminism. We listened that women did not like the old ways. We moved on...
