I had a dream that i was being chased by a man and ran into an old cave and in it was a huge angel, i mean really tall, and he covered me with his wings and protected me. I woke up and opened my bible and read about nephilims, i searched the definition on the internet and all answers point to a half angel half human entity that is a giant that looks like a human but has wings. Does anyone out there have anymore insight into these beings for me. ARE they evil?!??

somehow you have attached a negative name to a positive event. In your dream, you were protected by one of God's angels, not a nehilum.
A nephilum is a demon , or fallen angel, who possesses people. This occurance happened alot in ancient times mainly to ancient canaanite people who were pagans. When King David ruled, he helped destroy all the people that were possessed like this. This means the spirits were released form the dead bodies, and still roam the earth looking for other victims. But there has not been a race of people like this since.
you had a postive dream of God's protection. maybe the angel was your guardian angel....a nephillum woudl only harm you in a dream or in reality.

The nephilim were supposed to be the fallen angels, the ones who came down and joined with the daughters of man and created the race of giants.

Yes, they were evil. They were the children born of women and had wicked angels as fathers. They were all destroyed during Noahs flood. They were bullys. Huge and mean. They were never able to procreate and when the floods came, it drowned them all. Gen 6:4, Numbers 13:33.
