Will it taste ok or does it ruin the taste?

No, it doesn't ruin the taste but you want to add a couple of teaspoons full of water just to losen it up a bit. Be careful not to add to much or that will ruin it. Good luck

The question is: why would you want to???? Instant oatmeal has been refined and becomes gluey when its cooked and sits. I'd toss the stuff and start over, or make a more substantial oatmeal that can hold up to reheating. Just add some milk to it and nuke it. Stir out the lumps and enjoy!

i did that once and it came out sticky and looked like a goop. add some milk or water before reheating. brown sugar also works.
