last week i noticed a rash forming right along my collar bone. the area had little red bumps and was very sensitive. since i've never had a rash there before i freaked out and applied a heck of a lot of aloe vera gel; then the rash subsided. but yesterday, i noticed the same little bumps on my shoulders. what could this possibly be? i hardly ever wear necklaces so i doubt that i'm having a reaction to some type of metal. i haven't started using any new products on my skin, either. and to my knowledge, i don't have excema. this is very strange to me but i don't want to visit the doctor for a minor rash. has this happened to anyone before? if so, what do you think the cause was and what did you do about it?

The simplest and most likely explanation is contact dermatitis. Something touching your skin in those areas is irritating your skin and causing the rash.

The collar bone and shoulder are prominent points for pressure from necklaces and clothing to touch.

Some things to consider: jewelry (some chains contain nickel which many people have a reaction to), laundry products (any change in detergent or fabric softener?) or even tight fitting clothing (are you an active person? do you run?).

For the chemical possiblity, try wearing clothing that has been washed normally then run through a second wash/rinse cycle with no detergent or fabric softener, and do this for several days. If it clears up, then appears after resumption of normal laundry practice, you could have your culprit.

It could be a allergic reaction to something you ate. Even though u haven't changed anything u can still become sensative to things u have used all along, like perfume, detergent, soap and so on. Try putting some antibacterial ointment on it and see what happens, if it is still happening then u will have to see your doctor. Good luck

No clue, but until you see your doctor (you really should) you should take some Benedryl. That will really help the reaction. Between 25-50 mgs. No more at a time. Take it every 8 hours. If it gets worse, see your doctor immediately.

Maybe its ring worm because i have the same thing. It depends on how it looks, or maybe go to the doctor and get it checked cause it could be a major skin condition that can reallyu cause damage.
