I know multiple people have already asked this question, but I though I could find more information if I asked again.

My question is: Does ProActic or AcneFree work better? It's not the price I'm worried about, but it would be a pain to have to pay for shipping and wait for ProActic to arrive, and AcneFree is sold at the grocery store I go to. And I was wondering if ProActiv really dries out your face if you don't use it for a while.

Thanks!

Pro Activ is a BIG JOKE!!!!!!!! I tried that junk for 2 years and barely results. I now use Acne Free and I saw results in 4 days. I even skipped a day and no acne at all. I highly recommened Acne Free. The price doesnt concern me either. Even when you have a zit they have a product called Terminator and it works great. Acne Free is less mild then Pro Activ. I love the cleanser. Acne Free doesnt dry skin out like Pro Activ. Good Luck to you

As a user of ProActiv I would definitely recommend it! If you don't want to wait for it try the mall. It is sold at mall kiosks at all of the malls in the city where I live. If you do order it online it comes pretty quickly. It's the best acne product I have ever used, it cleared up my face in 24 hours and keeps my face clear. I would recommend using it every day just to maintain an acne free appearance if you have a big problem but if you don’t' use it for a while it wont' dry out your face.
It's actually pretty strong so I don't have to use it all the time. Instead of twice a day like recommended I only have to use it once every other day and my face stays clear and the Proactiv lasts longer.

As a side note, those advertisements for $19.95 are for "mini" bottles of Proactiv. I was alarmed at the size of them until I received my refill shipment and the bottles were much larger. I'm able to get away with a refill shipment only every 16 weeks which makes it really affordable but if you need to use it more often you can get refills once a month or more.

Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet.

In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood.

Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones.

In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do.

If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read.

Acne Free is no good. ProActiv is a pain, but some malls sell it now. If you are not worried about price, I would go to the nearest/best beauty salon in your area. They should have skin experts and good products available. Plus they can tell you which of their products would work best for your skin. I used Proactiv for awhile, but I got sick of paying for it and waiting for it all of the time.

I used ProActiv and it did nothing. It didn't dry my face out, but it also didn't clear it up. It was like I was just washing my face with water.
I have been using AcneFree for a month now and my skin is so soft, clear and beautiful! It's definatly much better than ProActiv, trust me!

I have used pro-active for 10 years and recently ran out. Unfortinatly I didn't have enough money in my checking account to get the automatic shipment so I bought acne free. I honestly do not notice a difference if anything I see more improvement.

I love it!!!

Acne Free or just go the store and buy OXY's Chill Factor...it works just as well and is a whole lot cheaper
