My biology teacher explained to us that there isn't really a "hole", but a thinning in the ozone layers. It is happening in the south pole. The ozone layer wasn't created by us, but the thinning was our fault. And it could actually kill us, every heard of UV rays? Too many would give us skin cancer, and we would die. And it isn't only humans being effected by global warming, it is animals too. In the north pole polar bears' habitat's are melting. Most people believe it is from Global Warming. I'm not trying to be mean, but please, for future generations, do your part in keeping the Earth as clean as possible. And not all environmentalists are like that, a lot actually are true environmentalists.

We're all hoping the same thing will happen with AGW--that it will be dealt with by international agreement and the situation will gradually improve, like the Montreal Protocol was agreed upon to deal with the depletion of the ozone layer. THAT's the reason you don't hear about it such any more.

The ozone layer is doing just fine and it has nothing to do with CFC . The ozone layer is created when the solar winds collide with earth's magnetic field . The holes are still forming at the poles where what gets through will harm almost nobody.

The Ozone layer is old news, and can longer be used for political or financial gain. Global warming is the new technique of fear-mongering for profit. Just ask Al Gore.

The Montreal protocol that banned Freon has been in effect for nearly 20 years; the ozone hole is progressively healing itself, as it should.
If you want to be taken seriously, do not attack what is actually the environmentalists greatest victory to date, one that is no longer questioned by anyone who knows enough about the topic.

Watch "An Inconvienient Truth". If you had then your question would already have been answered. It's not a political issue. I am betting you don't have kids, or you would be worrying about their future.
