I live close to Philadelphia. A cool restaurant you can recommend? I don't like seafood, but like pretty much everything else.

I should have said, 'not too expensive' Perhaps around $15 a dish would be better.

Maggiano's is always great for groups of people. Food is wonderful, prices reasonable, and the service is fantastic.

There are so many places to go, so many types of food and even how it's served. If you're going wit a lot of people, maybe a tapas style dinner would be fun. Bar Ferdinand in Northern Liberties is nice, but their selection is a bit smaller than the others, and the dishes are as well..there are a lot of other bars and a bowling alley in NL to check out too. If you take the tapas-style route, I'd try Amada on 3rd and Chestnut (I think). I know there's more selection / larger portions.

For things like Italian, I'd recommend Ralph's on 9th & Catherine. It's some of the best italian food I've ever had. Maggiano's would be a good choice if there will be a lot of people though...for a chain, their food is great.

There are also a gazillion BYO's in the city, so here...

Try that website first and take a look around. There are also a ton of links within that site that will show you everything from good happy hour specials to the locations of every BYO, etc.

Also, keep in mind that starting on January 28th, it's restaraunt week in Center City...
