If you are talking of the drivers (the round thingy with a diaphragm and magnet) then you'll need a lotta equipment to make'em and its out of my scope.
If you want the "speaker boxs"
well, it depends on the kind of fidelity you want from your speakers. Unless you are a very skilled craftsman you are better off buying locally manufactured speakers from a local shop, which are really inexpensive. However you can also purchase speaker cabinets of various sizes from these shopes and install your own drivers (the round thingy with the diaphragm and magnet). You could buy cheap local drivers or drivers from JBL or other branded ones. Depends on how much you are ready to shell out.

Well speakers are REALLY hard to make. But basically what they are, are cones which move back and forth really fast. As they move back and forth they shake the air and make waves in it. These waves hit our ears and that is what we think of as sound. Anyway, if you want to spend tons of frustuating hours adjusting things, go ahead and try it. You will need a magnet, and coiled wire, and a cone. See http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/speaker6.htm
