I gained like 5 pounds over the holidays (went from 105 to 110; I'm 5'4) I'm hovering at 108 now and I seem to be stuck. I run 4 miles a night at an incline and lift weights and eat around 1200 calories a day, but my body seems to be stuck at this weight. I would really like to get back down to 105, and it's only 3 little pounds! Any suggestions?

And for those of you who think you know my body type, 105 is a healthy weight for my frame; I have a very small build and bone structure, and you don't gain several pounds worth of muscle in a matter of a week or two. Thanks though.

Change your workout, use different muscles in a different way, try swimming, basketball, ride a bike, not just the same routine. The body has an amazing ability to become more efficient and if you are doing the same workout and not seeing gains, mix it up. Get in an aerobics class, anything different that will engage different muscle groups and still elevate the heart rate.

Sounds like you have the right overall idea.

Best way to work through a plateau is to vary the exercise routine, some people call this "shocking the body." My approach has been to change the particular exercises I perform about every six weeks. The treadmill work should not be the same distance and pace every day.

what the guy above said, and also you are aware that your body typically GAINS weight when exercising right?your gaining muscle, not fat, then after adaquate muscle is built, it then will start to burn the fat very efficiently and the pounds will melt, this is usually all after a month or so of being depressed at the scale, heres a trick dont measure yourself by weight, measure it by inches... and sorry to tell you but your underweight anyways.. so im not sure what the hell you are even complaining about, try some therapy, im 5'3 and 126 lbs and love my body, and wouldnt want a single thing to change. so, i think your just mental ♥

You might also need to jump start your metabolism by taking in a few more calories for a couple of days...
